Just sort of mentioning that hard times since the Civil War were not just about how the effects of slavery held people back from their full potential.

Liberal socialism is the new slavery that holds people back from their full potential if they accept it ...

A) Black people
B) Ladies
C) Nike Jordan Wearers
D) Iphone Users

I would blame ladies that cheat the system. I have posted lengthy complaints about a young white lady I worked with that cheated on her taxes every year, and cheated the state out of EBT/SNAP benefits.

I estimate she was stealing about $10,000 per year from the government.

She also lied to churches and charities to get free stuff from them.

She was living in a big fancy house three times the size of mine. She drove a late model car, while I drove a cheap jalopy that was 20 years old.

She actually told me I was stupid for not stealing.

Default Snap benefits

I worked fifty hours a week and made about $2,000 a year over the cutoff for benefits.

I had a younger single male brother that was really poor. He only earned the lowest Social security disability income.

He was on Snap. He got $15 a month because he had no kids.

The young white lady that earned more than the benefit cutoff was getting $400 a month in EBT benefits because she had three illegitimate children by two different dead beat fathers.

She lied about her boyfriend living with her. He earned over the limit too and paid most of the expenses.

She was a total lying cheating stealing bitch.

The government did not even care. At least they never audit people like her.

Yeah these people exist and they suck. I know the folks over at the USDA building fraud detection / machine learning solutions to combat that kind of stuff. These types of technologies are catching on in DC, and while it may be some years, eventually information sharing across agencies will be good enough to catch fraudsters of all kinds.

A simple two hour Audit would have busted her.

All they had to do was visit her house. It was expensive. She lied about what she was paying in rent.

All they had to do was call her work and ask her co workers. She bragged about the stupid government never catching her and all her friends that stole thousands each year.

After I had known her a few years I wrote the IRS and told what she was doing. They told me if I did not know the culprits social security number they could not do anything. My letter went in the trash.

Well I'm sorry to hear that. I get that it's all one person had to do, but keep in mind there's probably 10 investigators for every 10,000 'tips' that get sent in, so a lot of these folks get to slip under the radar. But that is changing as government data moves to the cloud and we can use technology to tackle issues like this.

Default Times are changing

I do not know about today but five years ago there was no tip line or website to report blatant thieves of the government.

It required the whistle blower to know the social security number and write a formal letter and mail it snail mail to a far away office. This office probably had one or two people working the entire countries letters.

We need a link on the IRS website where all you have to do is report the persons name and city that live in. Then the cloud or supercomputer audits there taxes for possible theft and fraud. Then they are given to real investigators who actually audit the thieves.

Ten thousand a year savings for a few days work by one person.

Sounds worthy of investigation.

Default Supercomputers

The IRS computers should have easily known her boyfriend had gotten $600 back the year before he met her and over $5,000 after meeting her and illegally claiming her 10 year old child on his taxes.

The computers should easily know the child was claimed by more than three different people within a few years. That is what social security numbers are for. So the government can track all our financial activity so we do not cheat on our taxes.
