Unhappy Two Coast Guard losses in Viet Nam on 8/8/69

On this date in 1969 there were two members of the Crew of the "USCGC POINT ARDEN", assigned to "COGARDDIV-12, TF 115, USNAVFORV" that were lost when an 81MM MORTAR EXPLODED DURING GUNFIRE MISSION.

They were:
LTJG KIRKPATRICK, Michael W GAINESVILLE, FL CG EVERGREEN CEMETERY, GAINESVILLE, FL

EN1PAINTER, Michael H MOSCOW, ID CG MOSCOW CEMETERY, MOSCOW, ID

May they rest in peace.
