I remember back in the 70's in the Bay Area having a gun rack in the back window of my Ranchero along with my trusty 1917 Enfield in the rack. No one ever said anything because everyone else had rifles in their back window. Today they'd pull you over at gun point and through your ass to the ground....

During high school in the mid 70's, every guy had a gun in their truck or car during hunting season. During recess, you could find us, the teachers and the principle out in the parking lot checking them out. No one ever tried to got shoot others because it was obvious, everyone else had the ability to shoot back on short order. While you can have them in the gun rack these days, you are risking having them stolen by just running into a store.
