Hello. Had a 2 year break from posting. I felt I was spending to much time on the computer.
I was the Jr. PFC while in India Battery in Beirut. Others had me beat time in service by one day. For the era we were quite decorated. I believe Hotel 3/10 landed in Grenada and fought as Infantry. They did not bring their M198's ashore. India used the WW2 era M114a2 abnd brought six of them. |

Your posts were often service related, which is the kind I like. Too much political discussion can wear me out. ![]() Welcome! |

I see, oh well we cannot get enough artillery men in here either. ![]() The Machine gunners (mos 0331) that served alongside us in the infantry in the 70's carried m60's machine guns that were also 7.62 mm like the M250's. I just assumed the M250 took the place of the m60 and I must be wrong. Does anyone here know what the 0331's carried after the m60's were removed from Marine Infantry units? This would have been after I completed my active duty in the USMC. |
