While growing up in NH, my friend's dad had a box in the basement with his USCG khaki combo cap. He retired as a BMCS. He gave me his approval when he found out I was going to enlist in the CG. After his son and I graduated high school, they moved to Clearwater. He and his family let me stay with them before I reported TAD to CGAS Clearwater prior to reporting to the Chase.
