Unhappy Two Coast Guard KIA's in Nam in 1966

On this date, 8/11, in 1966 the Coast Guard lost 2 members of the USCGC POINT WELCOME when it was BOMBED BY USAF ACFT OFF MOUTH OF BEN HAI RIVER.

They were: LTJG David C. BROSTROM, of LOS ALTOS, CA, the Commanding Officer and
EN2 Jerry PHILLIPS, of CORPUS CHRISTI, TX

active July 1965 to Nov. 1985; in Nam 9/15/66 till 10/1/67.
Bandsman 65 till Aug 69, Computer Nerd Sept 69 till Nov 85.
