Teen Vogue columnist Emily Lindin tweets she's 'not at all concerned' about false sexual harassment claims

Quote:
Teen Vogue columnist and outspoken feminist Emily Lindin came under fire on social media Tuesday after tweeting that she was "not at all concerned about innocent men losing their jobs" over false allegations of sexual assault or harassment.

Lindin explained the reasoning for her admitted "unpopular opinion" in a multi-part thread, first claiming that "false allegations VERY rarely happen, so even bringing it up borders on a derailment tactic. Itís a microscopic risk in comparison to the issue at hand (worldwide, systemic oppression of half the population)."

Despite immediate backlash, Lindin pressed on.

"The benefit of all of us getting to finally tell the truth + the impact on victims FAR outweigh the loss of any one manís reputation,Ē she said, adding, "If some innocent menís reputations have to take a hit in the process of undoing the patriarchy, that is a price I am absolutely willing to pay."

"How many of our reputations have suffered unfairly?" Lindin continued. "How many of our lives have ALREADY BEEN destroyed because of physical violence against us? Why was that acceptable, but now one manís (potentially) unfair loss of a career opportunity is not?"

The most cogent critique of Lindin came from CNN anchor Jake Tapper. "The Lead" host tweeted, "I'm guessing you didnít get a good grade for your 7th grade book report on To Kill A Mockingbird," referencing the classic novel that features the trial of a black man falsely accused of rape in 1930s Alabama.

When Lindin attempted to respond, Tapper cut her off.

"You said 'if some innocent men's reputations have to take a hit in the process of undoing the patriarchy, that is a price I am absolutely willing to pay.' Thatís immoral,Ē Tapper wrote. "And it's not a price *you* would be paying, btw. It would be innocent men doing that."
Scary! I bet no guy will ever come within 100 yards of her unless they just have to.

There should be some sort of labor law that there has to be an investigation by law enforcement before a person is fired for simple accusals.

Right now any whacko can claim anything with no investigation or proof and the man instantly loses everything.

Even when the accuser is proven to be a liar, they can still get money through a civil suit or by settling with the company.

If the accuser is found to have completely lied, nothing happens to them.

There is no risk and a huge potential reward.

That is easy gambling.

What really angers me is that millions of "liberals" have been scream "sex drugs and rock and roll - the sexual revolution!!!" ever since the 60s, and now suddenly this very same group has become a bunch of puritanical witch hunters right out of "The Crucible" with one self-appointed St. Abigail after another screaming out front for more victims to be hanged - minus any concrete evidence. How do you confront an accusation that is 10-20 years old!? Damn, if there was ever a case of History repeating itself, here we go!!

And how did that whole mess finally grind to a stop? When Abigail accused the Governor's wife of being a witch - he finally ordered a stop to it all. Well, something like that will finally have to happen here. When it all comes roaring back to Billy and Hillary Clinton in some form, then it will suddenly finally be crushed down by the democrats themselves. I think when Al Franken got accused, it came close to that - -

Default Unethical

In the military, if a captain is married and gets caught shagging one of his sergeants. He gets in big trouble.

President Clinton was CIC, married, and caught red handed shagging a subordinate.

It was investigated and proven.

Nothing happened to him.

Total BS.
