I posted quite a bit over there for a few years although not nearly as much as some here. Military.com showed that they did not give a shit about any of us when they deleted all the entries submitted by so many Marines as well as the entire forum sections.

Did they really think deleting all that content and basically slapping those that supported their site in the face would cause their website to flourish? Were they really that stupid? Apparently they were.

After those arrogant, ignorant moves it was real easy for me to put military.com behind me.

Got it.

I was SgtLtUSMC from 2000 - 2015.

The site just had more people leave in the last two days!

Before last year's purge, there was already an apparent reduced number of people participating in the forums.

Then those assholes took over and a mass exodus took place.

In the last twelve months, the momentum never picked back up.

We made the forum what it was: special and with personality.

So much for advertising on the site with no one to see them!

Decided it was time to start looking elsewhere. This latest "fix" makes me really wonder why they try to connect to anything military.

Thanks for directing what few of us remained, to here. I bet that link does not last the day though...

As mention above, the forums are what the members make of it and if you think the members don't make a forum then you are one dumb ass.

My time with Mil Com, as well as Neals started back in 1998, by 2000 I became one of two admins, Neal being the other.
Even back then it was a fight with the powers that be to try and get them to understand (speaking only about the Marine forums) that Marines were not like the other branches. I can't tell you how many times Neal and I would head over to SF and fight with them about what we felt they should let us do with the forums. It was to no avail though. Back then it was all Navy and civies running the operation. By 2002 I gave up and left the admin slot and started my work on Yellow Footprints. I have to be honest I missed many that came to Mil Com, they were a bunch of great people there.

I gave up on the leadership as Lead Mod for the Marine forums when they allowed Richie Cunningham publicly berate me like he did. Up to the time I quit I could see where they where head with the forums, this too I did not want to have anything with. For me, seeing mil.com going down the tubes has not bothered me.
