Beauty is in the eye of the beholder for sure!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

This is Sammy, one of my adult scarlet macaws enjoying his turkey leg last year. He's been hormonal lately and I've been threatening to cook him up for the holidays this year.

Last time he acted like this I showed him his "frozen cousins" in the freezer (turkey, chicken, cornish hens) and the fucker bit me, laughed then behaved for a few weeks.......

After you sell them and they are gone are you bummed or does your military training help you overcome that?

It was tough when I sold the first ones. But....I can't keep them all. Once these ones are gone I'll still have 7 adult macaws in the house. Plus a couple of African Greys, a couple of big dogs and a few cats.

When selling "pets" it is intesting at best an always an issue. (especially for those "watchers at the IRS" (Yes I'm talker about you Tom).....

I've have sales withe deposits that have failed and sales that have come thru.

Tomorrow I ship out 4 babies from two separate clutches to separate buyers ship out. I'm fortunate enough to have coordinated the flights to have left the airport around the same time so that I only had to make trip for four birds. Yes is was a fiasco and it made for a long day and thankfully I have an SUV that can hold multiple carriers!

I'm now down 4 juvenile macaws and within the next few days have a few more hatching! I a round about way, I am being watched over in my retirement years.
