Default Army Veteran, actor Richard Anderson

"Six Million Dollar Man" co-star Richard Anderson dies

For those of you who might have enjoyed "The Six Million Dollar Man," Richard Anderson who played Steve Austin's (Lee Majors) boss passed away today.

Before playing "Oscar Goldman," he played a very convincing Marine "Col. Clinton Hiland" in the Gene Roddenberry series, "The Lieutenant."

Before Hollywood, Richard Anderson served a stint in the U.S. Army.

RIP

He was one of those tall, handsome guys that make you wonder, "Why didn't he ever get a major lead hero part?" Maybe he wasn't willing to put in the effort or get dirty, but he certainly had the looks to compete with people like Charlton Heston or Clint Eastwood. But he always got the suit and tie jobs that didn't require punching people out. Maybe that didn't appeal to him. He was a lot like Roger Moore. Won't be long before we won't have any actors who shave and wear a tie - -

Yep. Plenty of character actors/actresses who would be ideal leads.
